What’s included in the course?

This course gives you a solid foundation to start speaking Italian with confidence. It includes 12 weeks of live, small-group lessons (1.5 hours per week), session materials and exercises to reinforce learning, and support and feedback to help you progress. If you ever miss a session, you’ll also have access to a catch-up recording (audio and slides only) to review at your own pace.

What happens after I reserve my spot?

After you reserve your spot (by filling in the contact form on this page), I (Federica, your tutor) will contact you via email to confirm your interest and discuss your availability. If you’d like, we can also arrange a quick call to go over any questions and ensure the course is the right fit for you. Since the schedule isn’t fixed yet, you’ll have the opportunity to express your preferred class times, and I’ll do my best to accommodate everyone’s availability. Once we’ve agreed on the schedule and you’re happy to proceed, you’ll receive a registration link to complete your enrolment. Payment will only be taken once you’re ready to commit and confident that you can attend the sessions.

Do I need any prior experience?

No, this course is designed for total beginners—no prior knowledge of Italian is needed. It’s also a great fit if you’ve learned some Italian in the past but want to refresh the basics and build confidence before progressing further.

What if I already know some Italian – Is this course right for me?

If you already have a solid foundation in Italian and feel comfortable with basic conversations, you might be a better fit for our Intermediate Membership Program, which runs all year round. The membership is designed for learners who want to improve fluency, expand their vocabulary, and practise real-life conversation in a supportive small-group setting. If you’re unsure which option is best for you, feel free to reach out, and I’d be happy to help you decide!

Why is this course online and not in person? I prefer face-to-face classes

I understand that many people enjoy face-to-face learning, but we have found, over time, that running the course online makes it more accessible to everyone. Many of our learners are local but find it difficult to travel, especially for evening classes. By offering live online sessions, we create a flexible and interactive learning experience, where you still get to engage with your tutor and classmates in real time—without the hassle of commuting.
Being online also means we can welcome learners from across the UK, and it helps keep costs down for students, as there are no venue rental fees to factor into the price. If you’d like to chat more about how the online classes work, feel free to get in touch!

What day/ time will the course take place?

The course schedule hasn’t been set yet because I aim to find a time that works best for the majority of students. After you reserve your spot, I’ll reach out to ask about your availability and do my best to accommodate the most popular preference. Once the schedule is confirmed, you’ll have the chance to review it before committing. If you have any questions or specific time constraints, feel free to get in touch!

Can I pay for the course per lesson, or attend on a pay-as-you-go basis?

To ensure a structured and supportive learning experience, we ask all students to commit to the full 12-week course. This helps create a consistent learning environment where everyone progresses together, rather than a drop-in style format.
We do offer a flexible instalment plan to spread the cost over three payments, making it easier to budget.

Do you offer refunds?

We want you to feel confident in your decision to join the course. While we don’t offer refunds after the initial 14 days, if within the first 14 days of course start, you feel the course isn’t the right fit for you, you’re entitled to a full refund – no questions asked.
This allows you to try the lessons risk-free while ensuring that once the course is underway, we maintain a committed and engaged learning group. If you have any concerns, feel free to reach out!

What happens after the course ends?

At the end of the 12 weeks, you’ll have built a strong foundation in Italian, and if you’d like to keep learning, there will be opportunities to continue. Depending on the needs of the group, I may offer a follow-up course to help you progress further. Some students may also choose to transition into our Intermediate Membership, which provides ongoing classes, fun monthly events, and a supportive learning community of students, local and UK-wide. This is entirely optional, and I’ll be happy to chat with you towards the end of the course to help you decide on the best next step for you!

What if I can’t attend a session?

If you ever miss a session, don’t worry! Each lesson is recorded (slides and audio only, no faces) so you can catch up at your own pace. The recordings are for group access only and will be deleted after the course ends. This way, you won’t miss out on any of the course content!
